After working at large firms for years, she decided to start her own law firm in 2012 and apply her own way of doing things. She has been practicing Family Law since 2007 and has represented clients in hundreds of cases, overseeing hundreds of successful settlement agreements and mediations. She believes that when two people are able to come to an amicable solution among themselves without court intervention, the people retain the decision-making authority and power in their own lives and are happier in the long-run. Her endeavor is to be able to reach out and personally handle all of her cases and practice law in the way she feels gives her clients the type of representation that they deserve.

Michele named the firm "Holistic Legal" because she believes that family law cases are different from other areas of law.  She believes that the client and their family need to be understood and supported through the process as a whole unit, with plenty of care and dignity.  She feels that when people are involved in a family law matter, this is the time in their lives when they are in the most need of guidance, answers, and comfort from their attorney.  Michele's mission is to navigate her clients through the chaotic legal process and to help them reclaim their lives. She views the law as a healing profession. Michele also founded Angels ad Litem, a division of her practice dedicated to providing Guardian ad Litem services for children to have a voice in their cases.  (www.angelsadlitem.com).

Michele brings the type of compassion into each case that you would expect from someone who cares for people on a human level.  She has volunteered for many different organizations and has been practicing yoga, meditation, and healthy living for many years.  Michele is able to draw on all of that positive energy to create an atmosphere of peace and calmness for her clients, who are often experiencing depression and anxiety during this difficult time. In her experience, a family that has the opportunity to heal their differences as part of the process has a lower chance of returning to court in subsequent years to work out "what went wrong since the trial", which saves thousands of dollars for her clients in the long-run. She has an outstanding track record of resolving cases very quickly and has a high rate of success in mediation proceedings.

Practice areas:  Family law, divorce, adoptions, child support, child custody, paternity, joint step-parent adoptions, modification of prior cases, sealing/expungements.
